TITLE: SOLIDWORKS Electrical/Software Support Engineer
CADimensions, Inc. is a growing Value-Added Reseller of Mechanical Engineering Software. Our primary offering includes the 3D CAD product line from SOLIDWORKS. We have sold to well over 5000 companies and trained several thousand users in 3D Computer Aided Design.
Our clients range from one-person firms to large companies with thousands of employees. The mission of our team is to put the proper engineering tools in the hands of our customers so they can realize a shorter time to market, and a reduction in design, manufacturing, and overall operational costs.
The successful candidate must have the ability to troubleshoot and support computer software including but not limited to SOLIDWORKS, SQL, Windows, as well as an ability for electrical schematic and design.
We have an immediate opening for a SOLIDWORKS Electrical/Software Support Engineer.
Provide best practices recommendations based on customer requirements
Install and configure SOLIDWORKS CAD, SOLIDWORKS Electrical and SQL Products to customer requirements
With minimum direction, resolve incoming SOLIDWORKS CAD and SOLIDWORKS Electrical support requests from clients and provide comprehensive and timely solutions to questions/issues
Provide technical assistance to team members on customer challenges
Prioritize through identification of critical issues and take responsibility for a successful resolution related directly to the customers business goals/issues
Training customers in SOLIDWORKS Electrical Schematic and SOLIDWORKS Electrical 3D Software
On the job training through knowledge base and example projects
Capable of generating complete drawing sets to document System Schematics
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams. Ability to create projects in SOLIDWORKS Electrical
Knowledge of the following hardware/software technologies: AutoCAD Electrical, SOLIDWORKS Electrical, ProE, or CREO,
Knowledge of SQL Databases and query creation is valued, but not required
Experience with implementation/support/use of CAD systems
Familiar with engineering design, production and general business processes
Knowledgeable in computers, servers and understanding of networks
Associate or Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or related field
At least 2 years of directly related experience of electrical drafting/schematic design
Some experience may be considered in lieu of advanced education
Excellent oral and written communication skills required (English)
Friendly, helpful attitude, customer focused and team oriented
Understanding of engineering principles
Ability to function independently in a team environment
Strong problem-solving skills
Must have a valid drivers license and vehicle, as travel is anticipated
Strong organizational/time management skills
Computer literate and familiar with Windows Operating Systems

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
