Summary:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of injection mold processing experience and the ability to establish injection mold operating parameters to process parts to specifications, set up sample and production molds, troubleshoot and correct process problems at the press, inspect sample parts for accuracy, remove molds from the press and stage for disassembly and work with production groups/teams to meet demand and continuous process improvement.
Experience in optics molding is highly desired, but not mandatory Summary of Essential Job Duties:
Responsible for hanging and setting up tools in preparation for production runs, as well as starting up production jobs and troubleshooting.
Press tear down, follow mold pull procedures.
Understands mold components and perform insert changes.
Must be able to perform and document mold maintenance by disassembling mold, clean, inspect and reassemble mold.
Ensures quality of the finished product by continually reinforcing a strong and open working relationship Quality Perform in-process inspection and communicates results.
Understand Lean Manufacturing Fundamentals including 5S standards and housekeeping Responsible to ensure Department yield levels are kept over 85% Work Off shifts as required Including weekends Additional Desirable Skills:
Must be able to set up and test Optical testing equipment - Zygo Verifire Interferometer Must be able to operate Mechanical test equipment - Mitutoyo Formtracer, Taly Surf, Calipers, Micrometers Requirements and Competencies:
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents.
Ability to communicate effectively to team members and management.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma Previous experience in a manufacturing environment a plus Previous experience in Optical inspection or manufacturing a plus Mathematical Skills:
Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts.

The employee is frequently required to use the computer.
Work Environment:
May involve the use of oils and solvents.
Subject to some soilage and irritation from cleaning solutions.
(Lab Coats provided) Generally works in a clean environment and works to maintain the environment as such.
Safety Glasses are required May require area specific safety training This position works in a manufacturing environment.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne paper particles.
May work at different workstations as production needs require, or shifts from one station to another, during the production process.
